Constança is a Psychologist who earned her MA and PhD in Counseling Psychology from New York University and her BA in Psychology and Women Studies minor from Villanova University. She has a diverse clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults in several university and college counseling centers as well as various city hospitals. Her particular areas of interest include interpersonal dynamics, relationship and family conflict, women’s issues, sexual assault, domestic violence, trauma, life transitions, international students, immigration, acculturation and multicultural concerns. She did her pre-doctoral internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Bronx, NY and her postdoctoral fellowship at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. Her doctoral research explored domestic violence and urban Latina women. In her spare time, Dr. Vescio enjoys traveling, reading, painting, and photography.
